About The Wedding Yard Sale
The Wedding Yard Sale started with a simple idea – and honestly, for selfish reasons. As a long-time wedding planner, my garage was overflowing with leftover wedding décor and gifted items from couples. I needed a way to clear out space. At the same time, newlyweds kept asking what to do with their décor after the big day. My colleague Lisa was hearing the same questions, and together we realized we had the answer.
What began as a way to give back to our community has grown into a much bigger movement — a chance for newlyweds to make money back on their wedding investment, for engaged couples to shop beautiful décor on a budget, and for wedding vendors to clear inventory while connecting directly with new clients. The Wedding Yard Sale is more than an event — it is a sustainable, affordable, and community-driven way to rethink weddings.

As a wedding planner, I’ve helped countless couples organize – set up – and pack up everything they brought for their big day. After every wedding, I found myself wondering – what happens to all of this stuff now?
So many of the items were barely used and beautifully curated – yet they often ended up collecting dust or tucked away in storage. At the same time, I saw how much couples were spending on things they’d only use for a few hours. That’s when the idea for the Wedding Yard Sale started to take root.

We weren’t sure what to expect – but the response blew us away. Sellers nearly sold out – and buyers were thrilled to discover meaningful pieces at amazing prices. It was clear we’d created something special.
Since then, the Wedding Yard Sale has continued to grow into a fun – supportive – and like-minded community – giving wedding items a second life and helping the next round of couples celebrate in style without breaking the bank.
